Today Mrs. Schmitz's class visited the art room for a STEAM lesson. They created paintings with found objects. They used silk flowers, forks, small cars, potato mashers, sponges bottle brushes and plastic baskets. It was fun to get messy and make art!

First day of shooting photos.
5th and 6th Grade has begun to take photos for their forced perspective photography project. With limited space to work they are finding very creative ways to make their images work. It will be fun to see the finished product. Keep watching, they will be coming soon!

A Short Lesson On Figure Drawing in 5th and 6th Grade
Using Scholastic Art Magazine we learned about the canon of proportion when drawing human figures and faces.
Grade 7 and 8 Color Theory Project - First Set of Photos
Students were required to divide their paper into 8 sections. Each section was then divided into 7 stripes. They were to paint the pure color in the middle stripe, three tints and three shades of each color on the color wheel and gray. The Eighth section was to be filled with their name.
